Very accommodating staff especially with all the state fair chaos. I had to miss breakfast a few times due to some early early morning and the folks let me grab some coffee. Matt and Mary were also extremely helpful. There was a strange gas smell one night but that was taken care of quickly and they were aware immediately.

Requested a smoke-free area after a previous stay put us next door to a smoking room, and we smelled it the entire stay. I called before our next stay to make sure the notes could be seen by the check-in staff. We checked in and upon entering our room we could smell smoke. The front desk said they didn't have other room options but sprayed the room with a scent clearing spray. We let them in to spray again hoping it would help, and left afterward to meet our out of town family for dinner. Worse, upon return, the entire bedroom and bathroom area smelled like ****. It was piping through a vent. We called to report it and the front desk told us it wasnt possible as they didnt allow it (clearly that didnt stop whoever it was) and no, they didnt have anywhere to move us. We had a family reunion the next day and it was too late to move hotels so we resorted to sticking paper towels over the air vents and keeping the loud fan running to circulate air. We both slept terribly and woke up with headaches and a sick feeling. It's hard to believe we could have such a poor experience twice at the same place. Checked out with breakfast first thing and will not be back. We'll drive further the next time just to avoid this place.

I previously wrote a 1 star review because the A/C in my room was broken for the first 5 nights of my stay despite multiple times asking for it to be addressed. After posting the review, the GM contacted me and said it would be taken care of. When I got home from work that evening, it was still 79 degrees in my room so I asked to be moved. My room was upgraded that night after the same person I spoke to for 3 nights in a row called the manager. I have the highest Marriott status so I only assume I wasn't upgrade to begin with, or even acknowledged, (like other locations) because I requested a lower floor due to my dog. Regardless, the room is much nicer/larger, the amenities are better (nicer toiletries, "towel art"). The reason that my review is still only 3 stars is for the ridiculous amount of time it took for someone to actually address the situation and the apathy of the majority of people I interacted with at the front desk.

I am actually currently staying in this hotel and am supposed to be here for another 16 nights. I can't even imagine staying that much longer. I travel for work and have stayed in many hotels around the world. I usually choose a Residence Inn im the US because of the kitchen and that I have titanium elite status with Marriott. The a/c in my room hasn't worked since I got here 5 days ago. I thought maybe at first it was because it was cold outside but not the case. The fan runs continuously and despite having the air set at 63 it is currently 79 degrees in my room. I have now asked 3 times for someone to address it and was assured by the AGM on Tuesday that it would be dealt with while I was at work on Wed. Nope! I am traveling with my dog as well who is much less heat tolerant than I am. Also, compared to other RI hotels this one is lacking in the provided amenities. I am generally not someone to expect soeciao treatment due to starus but come on! It wasn't even acknowledged when I checked in and the desk staff seems less than excited to be working most days. Definitely won't be staying here for future trips to the area and may not even finish my current stay. (Frankly, posting this review to maybe prompt some action.)

Nice place, good location, well kept. There was a light occupancy during our week stay here. Although right off the interstate highway (35W) and interchange, our room was very quiet. No issues at all

Fire alarm went off at about 10:30pm. Date was November 5th. Was never told when to return to room. No one took charge. Family was scared. Thank goodness it was a false alarm. Also would have liked waffles and eggs for breakfast. Had neither

I'm really writing this review to highlight all of the extremely friendly staff, especially the night desk manager, Obang. My daughter and I stay here last month for a soccer tournament. There were some issues with our shower the first night. Obang was quick to upgrade our room and to ensure that the rest of our stay was comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms seem new and everything was in excellent condition. The TV is huge and their is plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchenette is nice. This hotel is oriented perpendicular to the adjacent freeway, I 35W. Thus, only a few rooms are facing the freeway. If that would be an issue for you then I would recommend you contact the hotel well in advance of your visit. I had a room on the north side and could not detect any freeway noise. The breakfast is adequate, but the day I was there it didn't have quite the variety of some of the other places in the immediate vicinity. For example, there was biscuits and gravy, and pancakes, but the only egg option was cold and hard boiled.

We were staying at the Residence Inn, Roseville, Minnesota recently. We decided not to rent a car and used Lyft to get around. One mid morning during our stay we asked the gentleman at the Front Desk, Obang, where a local coffee shop was. When we informed him that we would prefer something within walking distance he insisted that we take his car because the shop he referred was a little to far to walk!!!! I have had great service before. Particularly at Marriott hotels but this was service we have never experienced before. Thank you Obang. You are one of a kind.
